I personally find this approach deceptive since the borrower doesn’t know who their lender really is, but it’s legal.You can become an affiliate to some of the larger lenders.

Because reality is most consumers in the TK space come with an assumption that one presenting as a TK company is the one who own's the property, did the reno, did/does all the things, internally, no affiliation etc etc.

If Holistic REI is a break-off of that or the same owners are affiliated (which may be a reason for the name change) I would be very cautious.

I think its a great group and respect so many of the guys that affiliate with it.

In my personal experience I was inexperienced and my company a brokerage (which are affiliated with many banks) held my hand through my learning process, paid me a base salary, gave me leads which I split my commission, guided me on how to attain relationships with realtors and how to generate leads,  they have many accounts with real estate brokerages where they are the exclusive lender which was a plus.
