I've seen some of those advertised also. 

There will be a lot of agents advertising their market, and while this can be annoying, it can also be helpful when searching for areas to look in. 

I really thought it was a catch, and advertising hoax.  

I recommend setting up keyword alerts for each area as they are discussed in the forums daily with advertisements posted in the BiggerPockets marketplace hourly.One thing to note when looking at the individual markets, you can make or lose money in any market.

We have cable or YouTube TV.Can't be cheap on this.We even advertise if someone else isn't offering cable channels what else are they cutting corners on?

Places like Tampa, FL, Boise, ID, Asheville, NC, Detroit, MI, and Columbus, OH are seeing growth in tourism and demand, making them great options for STR investments. 

That would be like claiming people should ignore speed limit signs because they don't advertise the road, traffic or weather conditions.

OR, if you’re lucky enough to find a property in the new allowed student zone, make sure the zoning letter lists all advertised bedrooms.Johnson City doesn’t seem to have the same requirement.

I want my occupancy (and revenue) to be maximized so, for me, it's very important to have something unique that the other places don't have so my condos will stay rented throughout the low season and in case of a downturn in tourism.
