That all being said, my only debt is one mortgage from a house I lived in at my former duty station, and I have a good bit of savings, currently mostly in silver.

Then of course, we'll end up going back to the old standard of using gold and silver instead of paper currency.

I live in Hastings NY and will travel up to 1 hr if needed as I also own a flooring store in brewerton and Eagle Bay ny.

If you also look at the recent surges in real assets like gold and silver this paints a real-time picture of inflation fears.

Now I’m stuck with a property with huge negative equity, huge interest only mortgage payments, a highly negative cashflow, and no silver lining in sight on the local housing market.

Either your realtor has a real silver tongue or the seller can't wait to unload - or maybe they just way over priced in the first place.I don't know your market but a quick search on Harleyville, PA rental shows much higher rates.
