Ramsey and Orman are nothing but paid speakers/celebrity faces for financial firms that follow the financial strategies which they teach. 

While they do have speakers trying to do up sales if you have self-control you can get thru it without purchasing anything and still get some good information and meet other investors. 

You could have one at each site, attach a camera/mic/speaker to it and fly around to check on work.

I been burned once (those speakers and process to hook you are very polished), but not again.I really just need a little guidance so I can at least get a few things I have right now locked in. 

Big picture of the speaker and his family and little munchkins.. and how he is doing this so he can spend time with his family and munchkins .. they go on ad naseum with pulling your heartstrings.

A few things I look at; do they have a linkedin presence, have they done events before (if so how many), are there speakers and panels, do they have an event schedule of future meetups, is there a membership fee (this can be a good thing because it shows commitment on all members parts), is there a wide array of attendees, investors, operators, GPs, brokers, lenders, etc.

It's the same people who cordon ate events for motivational speakers etc.  

I've listened to him speak several times and he has impressed the stew out of me... he's not a great speaker, but his information on asset shielding is outstanding and I will listen to the man for as long as he will talk. )(In general, I'd say that buying investment property in your own name is a terrible idea and that you should never, ever do that.
