The area I live (Hot Springs Village) is beautiful BUT if you are a golfer, tennis player or any other outdoor activity be prepared to sit inside for most days...too hot, too wet, too cold. 

We're also very passionate about the outdoors and everything our cabin provides and it's a destination we know well.

I'm looking to add some features to the backyard to make the property more attractive as vacation rental. 1. fire pit2. outdoor sauna3. children's playgroundI'm looking to add all of these things, however what happens if someone slips on the playground?

It makes the house look much larger and (most) people love it3) Master bath - 4) Second and third baths5) Master bedroom6) Living Room7) Outdoors - the front should be inviting at least, but mostly back yard, build a deck, add a kitchen or at least a big-*** BBQ

Swimming pool in San Diego is very different than an unheated outdoor swimming pool in the northern tip of Alaska, right? 

That means snow close to the roof may melt, but then freeze with the outdoor air.

My wife and I own a few Longterm rentals, a few Airbnb glamping sites, a property management company and we enjoy feeding our cows and being outdoors.  

Despite the cosmetic fixes, as had occurred periodically whenever it rained, the roof in the kitchen and living room leaked through the light socket and the power would go out in the kitchen, laundry room and outdoor lights.

For example, prioritize properties with outdoor spaces or child-friendly amenities if you’re targeting families.

I'd eventually like to move to several acres or more in the country (possibly with a tillable field that could also be rented to be farmed) and have these rents subsidize the increased cost of the mortgage so that my net mortgage (farm mortgage minus cash flows from these rentals) would be the same (or less) as a fairly standard SFH in the city, for a much larger property that would allow outdoor recreation.
