Because of their lack of credit history (hers) and previous credit issues (his) I told them within a few minutes that I would not be able to rent to them.They asked if I would consider a co-signer and I said I had never considered doing that before and I would have to think about it and of course it would require the co-signer to have excellent credit.They came back with the young girl's Big Brothers/Big Sisters mentor that has known her since the age of eight.

haha My husband has been using it for about a year, I joined a few months after and added my own rentals, and my husband also lists me as a co-manager of his homes. the app support multi-user which comes in handy when husband takes a picture of a receipt and I can see it on my side, too.

@Meagan Petersthere's no need to do something complicated or give up equity this early in your investing journey.if you can't find a co-signer who is a family member who will co-sign just to assist you without compensation... then don't move forward.

Although it was not required of me when I lived there 18 years ago, I've heard it is relatively common now to require students to have a co-signer on the lease, usually the parents.
