My understanding of the city is limited, but my perception (and it is limited and may be flawed) is that the local economy has stumbled a little (financial crisis, etc.) and has been slow to recover? 

The fed is injecting billions into banks to solve a liquidity crisis. 

You want homeowners, yes, but I suspect that the specific subset wouldn't be "investor focused" homeowners, it would be people that feel compelled by social justice or "doing the right thing" type motives to "do their part" to solve the housing crisis.

And we are already forcing them to contribute to the cost of covering this crisis the same as everyone else that's fortunate enough to be working now...and in the future.  

I signed up to have a meeting from the bigger pockets site but will no longer participate during this crisis (They probably cancelled event anyways).
