@Christopher Murphy please do your due diligence on syndications vs investing on your own to house hack etc. most syndications are for accredited and/or sophisticated investors.

Return structures, fee structures, the profit split, distribution expectations, communication expectations,etc all vary company to company and even offering to offering.Often times you must be an accredited investor to invest in a syndication, which means 200k income individually (300k jointly with spouse) for 2 years or 1m+ in net worth (not including primary residence)Though there are syndications that do not have that requirement, the returns are usually lower from my experience.

as to how your success will be long term. however the bigger % returns are found in value add in most instances.. think of all those MF syndicators out there these days they are trying or they ARE buying Cs and value engineering them to Bs and that creates the nice returns they get for their accredited investors.

I would also imagine, that when speaking with banks, accredited investors, sellers, securities attorneys, etc. these same folks would most definitely be wearing more formal attire (correct me if I am wrong).

Return)--Risk tolerance might be better termed risk desire for some investors.These loans should have been brought to light in the offering paperwork, and an the LP side only sophisticated and accredited investors can buy into them.Non-accredited investors (most of the public) are not allowed to buy into these things, neither those with standard loans or those with adjustable loans.There is a flavor of pie for everyone.
