@Muki Naseer If it's not small, fluffy and can comfortably fit on your lap, chances are the insurance carrier will not like it. 

They do it because the insurance carrier tells them that if there is ever an incident on their property or a pitt bull is found living there during an inspection then their insurance will be canceled.

FL is one of the states where the carriers will not allow it.

@Dave Bopp and @John UnderwoodWhen a landlord is listed as an Additional Insured on the Tenants Renters insurance policy, the landlord then has the right to file claim directly with the insurance carrier. 

@Chris Troutman Additional Insured under a personal Renters policy is not always available with each carrier or in each state. 

Your best bet is to work with an independent agent that knows the area and has access to FL specific carriers.

It is addtional coverages you must elect, but I use a carrier that offers limited theft on vacants during renovation up to $5000 it costs about $250 other carriers may charge more.Danielle Evans when purchasing commercial insurance for hard to place risks like vacants and rehabs you have to go through an independent agency I recommend myself, Mike Aziz or Katie Heller if your are insuring Detroit.

On the other hand our insurance carriers have insisted on replacement roofing or will cancel the policy.
