I typically will forgive some of the interest or penalties, then use a 10Bii calculator or online calculator to come up with an amortization schedule.

This is an easy way to pass the coursework as it is open book and online, but I don't think it's the best approach to prepare for the license exam.  

Otherwise the cheap option is using a website online with the attorney going back and forth answering your basic questions.You might could see an attorney local  in person for 200 to 300 depending on rates for the area and bring all your documentation.

BP has tons of information including free online videos and educational courses and even has it's own podcast in itunes.

The estimates, one from a guy we've used before and another local contractor, are in the 200-300k range.Those estimates sound wildly inflated to me based on quite a bit of research I've done online.
