One partner feeling like they are doing more work for less money is often the root cause of disputes - and note that there are dozens of things to be done that are time-consuming, yet not directly related to the actual rehab - turning on/off utilities, binding insurance coverages, calling/scheduling contractors/subs, cleaning, landscaping, etc.Is either of you licensed as a realtor or contractor?

If your utilities ran on my easement based on what you have posted, I'd grab a shovel, break them in half and tell you don't dare touch my property except to drive on it.Personally, I'm rooting for your neighbor.
