I would repurpose this house and rent it out to drug rehabilitation company or something man. 

@Nick Doria  this is classic  MLM  and TV real estate evangelism ... usually starts with someone up there showing pictures of their kids..

Rather than requiring the potential tenant give me an email address, I offer them something best suited for email e.g. photographs, floor plan layout, copy of the utility bills, full copy of the lease....It is a play on the classic "Take my hand" versus "Give me your hand".

Plus I am going to legalize her unit (the city has a new program to legalize illegal inlaws - go figure, classic San Francisco counterintuitive nuttiness :), which will add a lot of value to my property.

Some of you guys are throwing out some classic names from way back

(golf tournaments, classic car show, a charity, or other Spring time events) I've watched Million Dollar Listing before trying to get ideas, and have seen them do wine and cheese parties, other tie ins with businesses in the neighborhood, etc..

[rant on] With both houses and the Whitehouse being united, we will see actions along classical partisan and philosophical lines rather than members of Congress acting in the interest of their constituents.Most if not all actions this year will be IMO, to mindlessly undo as much as possible of the previous administration just because they can. 

However, it would be advisable to have a second checking account, it could still be personal, to operate your investing out of just for accounting reasons.Not sure what sort of investing you are thinking of doing, but a "classic example" would be rentals. 

I would only invest what I was able to lose, especially if I want to repurpose into real estate.Gino
