Interesting Philosophy!

Action - Apply "The One Thing" philosophy to cut down on "clutter" of work. 

I really buy into the whole building wealth through real estate philosophy, but I am not sure I have the personality to be a landlord.

My best friend a former NYC Wall Street banker retired at 42 last year, another Gen X-er who lived by this philosophy, Getting to "financial freedom" happens a lot faster when you make significantly more money.

I’m following more of the Dame Ramsey and Mr Money Mustache philosophy of paying off all debt and saving aggressively to reach my FI number, with real estate on the side.

In any case, the CAFR is really only going to tell you the health of the local government, which may or may not mirror the community at large depending on how well it is managed and the economic philosophy of that town.
