As someone new to the USA and pre-foreclosures I was wondering if there was anything from a legislative perspective preventing potential investors from offering homeowners in the pre-foreclosure process a % of profits from a flip or wholesale in return for agreeing to hand of the deeds etc.E.g.

They do not understand the difference between law as it is written by a legislative body, versus case law which is created essentially at the discretion of judges.

The pending legislation is also an issue (heard that it will particularly affect the "glamping" type homestead rentals).Last summer, I told my partner that I wanted to get 3 properties by the end of the year (we ended up with two), and then 6 more in the next year.

There is no specifics (that I could find) regarding whether a landlord can impose a 60 day notice requirement when tenant on month to month but does state that any article in lease contrary to legislation is void.Landlords should always have a copy of their state Landlord/Tenant regulations close at hand know and understand them inside out and backwards.
