@Cody Malave If you are a single member llc then its considered you as far as taxes go meaning do what you want just keep records and clarity for your accountant.I have a dropbox folder i share with them which includes an excel of certain transactions such as purchases, large transfers.

This clarity and focus enabled me to successfully analyze options and make educated judgments.One critical lesson I learned early on was not to wait until I felt completely prepared.

My suggestion would be to investigate short-term rentals and understand the legalities here in Chicago...which I believe will push you away from trying to start there.Whether you do long-term or short-term - FOCUS and clarity on what you are looking for is the key to finding a needle in the haystack which is what I'd say is what you are doing in the current market today.
