It's the same people who cordon ate events for motivational speakers etc.  

It does away with starting out with 'thanks for your time, this is who I am, etc.' when people just want the speaker to get to the point.

I think ALOT of it has to do with who was the speaker.

That speaker up front is often just a distraction.  

Do some research on old threads and you'll find those experienced posters in Commercial RE, as well as speakers at previous BP Summitt.

I voted for the rhetorical conceptual positive speaker with amazing tele-prompting skills.

He ended up being the best speaker out of everyone there.As for his product, I've never used them so I couldn't tell you exactly.

CC @Jean Tranquille that is also an active wholesaler I think you should connect with.In terms of active meetups, there's not many that I've found through BP surprisingly - however if you go on EventBrite there's one main NYC meetup that happens across different boroughs quite often (once every 2 months or so) and attracts all types of parties (investors, lenders, speakers, etc.) 

Our local REI club is wonderful, but it has expenses that have to be paid -- speakers, a place to meet, a classroom for courses, tours of rehab houses, etc...
