@Linda Weygant Wouldn't the interest on the home equity debt used to go on vacation be deductible on schedule A if the total of the home equity debt was less than (the lesser of) $100,000 or the FMV - acquisition debt on the property securing the loan?

The link did not work for me but I believe that is the Linda vista property (except market rent I saw was $3.6k which seems slightly aggressive to me - I show median to be $3.5k and I would use $3.4k because lack of any amenities).
