I doubt anyone buying stock or bonds ever hit the yields of discounted notes unless the securities were in notes, I've just never heard of ROI in the hundreds or over a thousand % within a couple months being in the stock market, an exception being with IPOs but that is also to the initial stockholders, not buyers in established markets.
