You are a representative of your broker, client and company as well as yourself.I do not wear a cross/star of david/hand out pamphlets/give out cookies shaped like nude women/pull into a driveway blasting "Death Metal" or wear a T-Shirt that says "What are you looking at Du#$@**" when looking at or showing a house.

To assuage those applicants who don't get the unit, offer to give them a copy of the report.Another suggestion to help weed out applicants who wouldn't qualify is post some of your rental criteria in your ad and also hand out a copy when you are doing showings.

You decide where you put your time and energy - as others have pointed out, your frustration is understandable... but having read thru most of the thread, I'd imagine there's a chance you wish you would've just continued ignoring the people you perceived as expecting a handout.. lesson learned (and shared for the rest of us!)
