Another comment from last years meeting was around how some of the subsidiaries don't offer inexpeinsive index funds in its 401k plans for employees which goes against the advice Buffett gives.

Privately held property held in various subsidiary corporations will open private lots or will lease out. 

Example, a local company here buys lots, builds apartments, then turns them over to their own management subsidiary. 

Parent Corp to subsidiary.  

Depending upon your situation, it may be beneficial to use a Canadian subsidiary company to hold the Canadian property - that company would be a 100% child of its U.S.A. parent.    

I am looking to put my properties into an LLC (100% owned by me) and then create a parent LLC that would own the subsidiary LLC in full. 

@Todd Blyton I have a similar setup...Holding Company with subsidiaries, and each LLC has its own set of books.

If all are correct, then for expensing business activities like phone bills, business trips for deals hunting and due diligence, etc, do I need to apply one credit card for each subsidiary LLC and use different card when doing business for different LLC?
