We don't have really any great data yet, and forbearance of up to 12 months seems like it would greatly insulate most real estate prices from taking a nose dive in the near future. 

Personally, I would hold my nose and redo the flooringJust for fun after closing, I might consider a small claims action AFTER closing to recoup the costs and additionally name the Board member personally

I don't want to risk pulling money out and then the market taking a nose dive causing me to be upside down.

If you poke someone in the nose it is only fair they get to poke back.
