Based on what you wrote here, I think the lesson should have been to not chase a specific number of properties, rather chase a specific number of dollars.

If it was 3 to 4  on 1 you outran all of them and if 1 was still chasing you then you had to take them out to stop them.

How was that experience and was it worth chasing auction homes and trying to rehab/flip those?

I ask because the benefit of diversifying into several DST’s is mitigated in the future if you need to roll gains over, as now you’re chasing different maturity dates and smaller amounts.
