It ended up working out.So I guess the morale of the story is if you're serious about house hacking using FHA, don't get your hopes too high in OC...you may have to be willing to expand your search radius significantly to find something that would work.Oh and another thing.

What's worse is that many all too many people now believe that the real estate bust was the result of an unbridled free market run amok when in fact it was the result of the inherent moral hazard of simultaneously encouraging the "ownership society" through a Federal Reserve policy of artificially low interest rates and government bailouts, quasi-government corporations backing loans, and other tinkering to prop up an otherwise slumping market.

The Government has also changed its tune on who to bail out based on the amount of short term loans outstanding to protect MM's-so moral of the story is, MM's are going to be safe.
