It is gated, secure, a larger resort, with hotels, restaurants, shops, scuba, snorkeling, a dolphin encounter, etc.It has a marina and golf course.

One very determined neighbor with deep pockets (a NYC restaurant owner) took us to court and drove that club to the point where we lost the house.

I owned and self managed a restaurant for 10 years even though I had the chance to hire and manage out during.

Unit 3:  3 bed, 1.5 bath right near beach and restaurants, $3k reno (basically nothing) purchased fully furnished and ready to rent for $235k. 

I have also not seen any patrons going into the restaurant next door over a 10 minute period.  

They are made with the same ingredients, from tow different restaurants on the same block.  

The resort is in a 7.7 acre land, has a hotel with 30+ rooms, restaurant, bar, wine cellar, vineyard, cabins, pool, event venue, etc. 

Im interested in knowing the process on possibly converting existing garage/mechanic shop space into restaurant space.

I would talk to all the stores and restaurants to see how I can get the guests in the STR to visit local businesses.  

I had a condo unit listed for one of them and they just decided last week not to sell after seeing a flurry of bookings on their AirBNB site.As others have mentioned, the middle class might spend less on restaurants and pricey gym memberships during a recession, but they still need to recharge and still want to make family memories with their kids.
