When I rehabbed the basement I tore out the existing drywall ceiling and added sound-proofing insulation followed by a 5/8" fire-rated drywall thinking that would be enough, but apparently the tenants can hear us walking, the dogs claws (we have hardwoods) as well as the TV.

Are we seeing the ceilings made of plaster or wallboard, or are we seeing the ceilings made from those little squares that are stapled up there, or two by three drop ceiling tiles?

But I really love the results.painting cabinets I think can be very subjective and it can depend on the comps in the area your comparing your property. we also started from the ceiling and move down with this refresh— painted the ceiling and installed new light fixtures to Brighten the space—and sometimes that’s enough to “refresh” a space but in our case we wanted to move forward with painting the cabinets from the orangey oak. before after

Similar I had jurisdiction architect approve a sheer wall to ceiling but inspector required it to go to shingles.

This building is an older federal building with a main floor of about 30,000 sf with about 18 ft ceiling.  

We updated everything, from the floors to the ceilings.

Floor is $900 and ceiling around $1,600.

Basement elec panel needs trim around it and ceiling looks like it was patched and is hiding a leak.

Such as minimum ceiling height, exits, window amount and size, etc etc.  

I am at a point where I have reached a ceiling with my primary lender and need to find alternative lenders to work with.
