My wife and I do not want to share the same residence with anyone so renting a room out is not something we want to do.

My wife and I are starting our journey with our first STR and I wanted to ask: Should we use an LLC for our Airbnb, or would an umbrella policy on top of our current insurance policy suffice?

Have a scenario to run by everyone:My wife recently received a job offer in which she would make a lot more money, but we would have to relocate.  

I'm certainly cognizant of the risks of managing a property remotely (my wife and I did rent out our Chicagoland house for a couple years while living in STL).

My 8 year old turns air bnb with my wife. 

If he is married you can each give him and his wife $19K x 4 =  $76K  in one year.
