They decided to sell off some smaller projects even with a small haircut to allocate time to the completion of larger projects with more potential.For some reason or another your property owner decided to pull out of this and not finish and let someone else take the risk.I have a retail strip center with an anchor grocery that at the last minute close to where I live they pulled out.

Including your expertise also means an answer can be addressed in your language so to speak, an accountant may get an answer anchored in accounting rather than in a less specific manner.Don't hesitate to ask, jump in, just give it some thought before you jump and complete your profile. :)

When the main Anchor Tenant goes dark, the remaining smaller tenants are going to have a very hard time.You would think with people eating at home more vs restaurants that retail grocery would be "Rolling in the Dough".But with this company, apparently they see the need to "Pear" down.

And good point, consideration isn't going to be that ten dollars or some abstract consideration but equitable consideration to the value of the restriction required.A big issue in RE is anything that can be dreamed up as a strategy is anchored in common knowledge or knowledge in the public domain that can't be limited by such agreements.
