I treated the walls and ceilings (with a garden sprayer) with a bleach/water combination as well as tea tree oil, then primed with the best primer I could find, then painted the whole place.

Couldn't decide whether that was done by two or four legged critters...Also nasty - a crack pipe hidden in the electrical box, nicely wrapped in a baggie with a lighter.Neat stuff - found a nice carved antique chair stuck up in the attic, along with some old Japanese tea cups.
