We did our lake house from 7 hours away but I bought stuff locally, refinished it as needed and we loaded up the van and drove it over.

Lake Pueblo is the largest attraction in the immediate area. 

Broken Bow Lake OK rounds out the top 5. 

Of course, if your STR is by a lake or some other highly touristy location I don’t think it would work as a LTR

Reston is a truly masterfully planned community, with 55 miles of paved pathways, tennis courts and pools in every neighborhood, and several beautiful lakes that make the area very attractive to live in for residents.

Our Lake House is close to Clemson and we have all the home game weekends sold out at our Lake House for top dollar, same as every year.
