(S-corp is a tax election that you can do later if you make over a certain amount of money. 

It is my understanding I can then elect subchapter s taxation and the LLC will be deemed a disregarded entity by the IRS.

When the California legislature passed tougher anti-crime laws in the 2000s, the legislators knew they wouldn't work (based on Justice Department statistics), but elected officials have to do what the voters want if they want to keep their jobs (assuming the Supreme Court is OK with the legislation).I believe each person is an individual and should be treated as such.

Our current president is supposedly floating a policy idea of rent control to no more than 5% annually. 

A single member LLC may elect to be treated as a disregarded entity on the member's federal income tax return and report income and deductions on Schedule E of the 1040 rather than filing a return separately for the company.

Oh, and the rogue syndicator who took advantage of us all was a darling of theirs (LU's) only a year before he "broke bad", and had subscribers from some of the long-time, experienced passive investors in the group, including a mentor or two and the executive vice president, herself! 

Most politicians leading up to elections will say whatever they think the people want to hear to get re-elected.
