Maybe show up at a city council meeting and express your dilemma there. 

Ypsilanti City Council just approved this new ordinance at the 01/08/2019 City Council meeting if you are in the City. 

I'm not sure if it'll be on the September or October City Council Agenda but will update as soon as we know. 

No grocery stores and everyone must travel 30 minutes one way for most things they want.You will be hiring a crew or crews from Buckeye, Az. most likely and getting supplies to Gila Bend will increase your costs.Rents are very low and I know of a couple of homes that have been on the market for a very long time.The town just had a recall election for the city council seats so even the town is in a little bit of turmoil when it comes to how it is being run.Renters burn a lot of landlords and everyone is related to each other.

The San Diego city council recently voted to limit short term vacation rentals to primary residences only (http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/business/touri...). 

Our City has an e-mail they push subscribers with upcoming City Council discussions, ordinances passed, developments, etc.

They need this info for their stats, etc.Document area with photos.Develop a relationship with your council member for that neighborhood and find out what they are doing and report same to council member.Get on Next Door and monitor it from that as well.This could be a safety issue for your tenants as well; as a landlord you are obligated to protect and provide to them safe housing; if you need to build a fence or whatever then do it.Get involved!

The San Diego city council recently passed regulations banning STRs (except in certain owner occupied situations) including in an area that is all rentals (Mission Beach) .
