Social services will give her a social worker that will help assist her in finding suitable housing that she will qualify for.. at her age she should be in ASSISTED LIVING facility,  because she has been manipulated regarding her finances and needs someone to help her with that, basic elder abuse.

Another point with her age, don't get into convoluted wrap-kickback arrangements with the elderly, it's not so much that they don't understand or agree, but you may have to prove they knew and agreed when they pass on, it's not just heirs, it can also be the state looking at medicare qualifications or other creditors.

SEction 8 in the mid west or deep south is nothing like Section 8 on the west coast.Section 8 tenants are sought after in those markets because of the govmit paying the rent. free market rent in those areas is very much hit and miss. so they go for the govmit surety at least for the 1 year period.on the West coast there is really not much need for section 8 in the free market like there is in those markets... and its tough to get landlords to accept them.. very tough. ergo they have a liason.I mean in our markets here on the west coast you get market rent and on time generally if you screening well and you don't get the wear and tear that the average section 8 home gets because of the family demographics usually.... unless you get elderly section 8 I had a bunch of those in Vancouver wa.. they were a dream.. even though it was below market rent they never caused any issues and lived there until they passed....
