We have a number of clients in Mexico with properties in the USA.

My wife's name is Cruzita Avila, daughter of a hispanic field worker born in Mexico.

We understand this is a difficult time to find good cash flowing deals at today's interest rates and listing prices.We have always preferred to vacation in the Gulf of Mexico, but we couldn't make the numbers work there last year which is how we ended up in Myrtle Beach at a price point we are happy with.I just stumbled across quite a few beachfront studio condos that are being sold at a great price near the Panama City Beach area.

We have the University of New Mexico here and I’ve been thinking a lot about that area.

Has anyone invested in Mexico? 

Delaware, Wyoming, and New Mexico all have LLCs that dont list the members publicly, but even in those, you can sometimes get the info through listservs. 

If the US banned more advanced guns don't you think people would still be able to get them from Mexico?

I don't recall which of the free REI seminars it was but one of them gave away 1/2 acre plots of land in New Mexico when you answered a question right or something like that.

If the properties are in the following states, then your Aunt can take a 100% step-up in basis based on fair market value: Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, and Washington, Wisconsin. 

I'm in agreement with @Michael Greenberg about the politics and crime in Mexico.
