I didn't mean selling something to unsuspecting customer, but just because you've done work for an elderly person I wouldn't call that "scamming".

The owner was a widowed elderly lady who was living in a nursing home and her children were left with the home to sell. 

The landlord is elderly and he’s gifting the property to his son, who is looking to sell.

This one is an elderly guy who relocated to San Jose from Boston and helped his four kids by buying them cars, paying for their schools and down payments for their homes (one of which was foreclosed)- all from repeated cash out refi's on his own home.

I don't know about DSS- but I'd definitely be careful about not accepting SSI- it's a valid income and if it meets your income standard, no reason not to accept- could get accused of discriminating against the elderly.  

Children, elderly, and hypersensitive (asthma and allergies) individuals can ALL be impacted by mold proteins.
