You guys have been making some noise in the sports world lately.

I think there are plans for a sports center (you can walk to). 

The ice cream wasn't available in any local grocery store, but Blue Bell Creamery delivered it to my local store and I filled the basket with ice cream toppings.When a recent guest requested wheel chair friendly activities for her teenage daughter, that was somewhat challenging since most of the outdoor activities in the area involve hiking and water sports.

*The Golden State Warriors basketball arena is being built nearby—-which makes two pro sports stadiums within walking distance.

We also need sports gambling...

Mike H. also the area I am looking at building this 4plex is a newer development that does have some multi-family complexes in the vicinity along with a new Middle School to open in 2014 and a sports complex all within 1.5 miles from the location.

Sorry to crush your dreams, LOL.A residential conversion might be the best thing to do, but I just doubt it, I'd say there will be more commercial ventures that could take the space.Here a theater was turned over for live theater, concerts, seminars even wedding receptions, but that town isn't like here, that might work but off hand, probably not.A bowling alley was converted into a sporting goods catalog store.

NO sports star's only Palmer and Nicklous ..  

If CPS cuts sports, the parents pay so it is not an issue.So the real estate near the good schools are unimpacted or made even more valuable and the RE near poor schools are not really impacted because the people who buy there don't have many other options or don't care about the schools.Chicago, for all its problems, is not even close to Detroit.  

Sponsoring a sports team is likely viewed as a charity donation.
