I see your point on wanting to protect yourself but, if you were looking to me to provide you with a service and made a fuss about abiding by certain indemnity clauses which are key to protect me... no offense but I would want nothing to do with you - similar to one of my tenants trying to 'strike out' clauses in one of my leases - I would want nothing to do with that and I'm sure most businesses will take that stance as well.

If you're a Contractor on here don't take offense - I know that you have to run a business too and have your own mark-ups to survive, however, at this time I am not in a position to pay such ppl.

When I was a cop, we had field workers passing through our area from time to time, more then once we stopped them for a traffic offense only to find out that they were not able to produce any type of paperwork to show they were here legally.
