I have never heard of Ductwork having to be replaced the system having to be replaced, yes. if the existing Ductwork leaks then look into sealing the joints with duct mastic ( do not use the grey duct tape) or us the silver duct tape. if the ducts are in the attic and bare metal try getting some duct insulation and wrapping them - just a couple of easy solutions.

Thank you so much for the encouraging words, I know this will eventually pass and people have been in the same/worse situation as myself, it's just hard to see the silver lining in this case sometimes!

Silver lining was it freed up my entire VA benefit for another property.

Last year, real estate values were up 6.8% and far out performed other investment avenues such as S&P, Dow Jones, Nasdaq, silver and gold.

So that was the silver lining with that problem.
