Like Richard we all hardened over time as that is really what is necessary to not only survive but to thrive in this business.

Think about what he has witnessed in his lifetime and remind him, thru interpreter, that he is probably a surviver and will survive and probably thrive in this next, happy chapter of his life.And if he doesn't like that, just kick him out.

I stopped in on him 2 months after closing to find the large open front yard walled by a 7' fence with a greenhouse peaking through.  

My business and personal relationships have thrived as a result.

Sure real estate is mostly boring, and that can be a good thing, it makes for a good investment, but, some of us are less risk averse and thrive in riskier asset classes.

I am looking forward to a day of financial independence and thriving in real estate!

Usually, Asian investor, typically mainland born/ancestry, they could thrive in this environment, where 100k USD transaction is just passing with just a "trust" once you know somebody.
