The RDPD philosophy is correct, in that money should be spent on income-producing assets rather than luxury items.Save the 50k and use it to buy houses, IMO.

But when you say things like "Because the interest is calculated daily, I can pay down principal much faster than a traditional mortgage," I can't help but think you're still sorta advocating the "HELOC saves interest" philosophy.
