Also, the Liability is covering 3 units compared to 2 so that coverage is slightly higher.The other issue you may see is the requirements the best rated carriers have may be more restrictive (year built, year of updates, fire protection, distance to Fire hydrant/department).

Agreed value or RCV....never ACV...Not every carrier offers agreed value, but the ones that do essentially allow you to insure the property for market value.

The insurance companies job is to give you back what you had, and the carrier is usually fairly accurate on what it costs to rebuild.

Also, when your place is vacant, you need to notify your insurance carrier and pay much more for insurance, about $100.00 a month (if you want coverage during being vacant), due to possible break ins to steal all your copper and they won't turn off the water when doing so, or squat and do drugs in your place etc...

A good broker will know if his carriers insure on replacement or depreciated basis.
