Funny, I was hoping to equip myself with some ideas so I could propose some transaction options to them right off the bat--but I agree with you that that is probably not the right move.

North Canton is a mess right now, they outsourced their building department and went way off the deep end with controls and penalties. 

@William Fuller, these are all good questions for your local building department.  

I think where you will be questioned the most is on the new purchase transaction since you have owned your current home for under 12 months.

Can you generate a report in Buildium to download a CSV file to upload transactions to Stessa via the Stessa CSC uploader?

Can you estimate the holding and transaction costs?

When I became power of attorney for my Dad here in the US, the whole transaction costs me $50 and I used a notary.   

Depending on these answers one lender who charges 3 points could theoretically have lower total transactional costs than a lender who charges only 2 points and its important to understand all fees associated with each lenders origination process.
