I have personally advertised in Realty 411 its a real publication and as I stated  Linda I have know for over a decade personally and I am real I have 50 years in the real estate game..

Plus the average person probably finds Akron more obtainable given funds available.

Has anyone had any luck obtaining legal counsel and fighting this?  

It will be quicker I am assuming and will save money on my construction loan interest as a result but want to hear some other thoughts from others with more experience with new builds.for some context I am in Dutchess county ny, property has public sewer/water. 

The more active you are in the pursuit of obtaining a property, the more attention the agent is likely to pay you.

Public records are also scarce.  

I recommend being anonymous.In some cases if you have a PM, let them advertise it as their own.If you have an llc then the lease and payments go to that.While I do introduce myself to tenants, I don't advertise I'm the owner publicly.

The seller can often sell a property that can not otherwise be sold, financed, or sold for enough to pay off existing mortgage or obtain a higher price by selling Sub To, or Sub To wrap/owner finance.  

A landlord can require a tenant to obtain an insurance policy as part of the lease.
