Perhaps they are scared of other bad players stealing their info?

Zillow won't prevent your marketing, but as others have said, the city might have something to say about it. 

While this hasn't been needed in the past, I’m considering if it could help prevent tenants from reporting problems later that they claim existed when they moved in.

Hello everyone,I have been given 15 day extension to show an effort to do repairs on a large SFH that now has a unlawful detainer/former tenant who has been found subleasing, damaging the property and preventing contractors from entering.

The way my lease reads the tenant remains responsible to pay rent and utilities to "prevent waste of the premesis."

With a full time job even 15 units gets tough between collecting rent keeping repairs up, preventative maintenance, looking for new deals, managing refinances, etc. 

There is nothing that prevents you from shopping around early to see what's out there.

And I suspect the other larger players in CA had the same arrangements we did. 

Prevent financial loss.

To be clear, we inherited the house, but there is a complication that prevents us from being able to sell it for a few years, but we will eventually sell.
