We were not able to view the property before hand but did have pictures and a assessment of the property to go off of.When we finally closed and went inside to look it over and get a plan together, we noticed that the paint was peeling (the LR and hallway are a lime green and every other room in the house is a different color) in just about every room.

I always give new tenants the overview of ‘this is an old house, it might have lead paint, but we keep it in good condition with new paint, no peeling/chipping, etc. as long as you don’t chew on the windowsills, it’s all good’.

So even with taking these precautions remote showings come with a certain amount of risk (they could send you bunk info, text somebody else's ID, wear a ski mask, spray paint your cameras, leave a window open to come in later, etc).

When working with lead I used proper equipment, HEPA filters with a properly fitted half-face mask, and used excellent hygiene (washing/showering, not eating, not smoking, careful handling and so on) and still became lead poisoned.
