Again I am not an expert on CA ski area but I imagine hot tubs are popular amenities.

On some older properties where perhaps you have one water meter for 2-3-4 units or one gas meter for 2-3-4 units, or units that share hot water, something like that the owner might pay. 

This could depress rental rates which have fallen y/y by 9% in Austin and other formerly Hot Cities already.

You'll want to target hot markets that are not oversaturated.

I called and found out by the electric company then called back to evernest and they said they do it so that when the showing happens its not so hot.

This is one of the things that sound a lot easier than they are actually done.The crazy thing I learned about these CA fires is that the heat radiation is hot enough (1500-2000F) that it will ignite your furniture through the windows.
