Eventually it becomes second nature.

What I am seeing is older residential units being purchased, eventually torn down and upscale apartments replacing them.

Now is just one point in time and one can make permanent judgements based on the perceived current situation but that might be shortsighted.As far as the politics and legal framework, yeah it can be a pain, but for those who understand it, it eventually becomes a competitive advantage.

Plus, living in the property gives you the unique advantage of understanding it inside and out.. making you a better landlord when you eventually rent out all the units.If I were you, I’d prioritize properties with room for rent increases or small upgrades that could boost value.

Instead, I just decided to head in "that direction" and figured I'd get to the destination eventually.
