Must have missed my post above, you have to file a lien, a deed of trust on the amounts you financed in a conduit financing arrangement just as you would if you made a second mortgage.

There's a lot that goes into safe work that the newbie just doesn't know so getting it to work and being safe can often be two very different things.Good advice... you will find that working with the heavy wire gauges typical of 4 wire installations is a feat in itself especially if your feeding it through existing conduit or floor joists, from the panel to the outlet.

You can have an I/O note in commercial transactions, however if you sell in a residential transaction having your buyer assume that commercial note will be a violation of residential lending requirements, as all amounts financed, directly from equity or through a conduit financing arrangement must be amortized.

You could run it in a PVC conduit like you do with electrical wires, but you will still want a PEX tubing rated for outdoor use (a grade "A" PEX rated for outdoor use or a sleeved PEX like PEX-AL-PEX).
