The building I just purchased is on Lombard bordering Cicero.

super exciting, congrats...watch out for remaining open and pulling permits..Duval, border counties, like never before are targeting dumpsters, we buy houses signs, dinging for anything, door permits, etc....I "think" its because of insurance companies, and past hurricanes, the county is hunting and penalizing hard like never before......aggressively  against investors..the city turns a blind eye to children not in school during the day, rather than enforcing, but is looking for rehab investors to penalize and enforce.....maybe thats where the $$ is..

@Henry DerI would sit down with a Canadian accountant who has cross border expertise to iron out the ownership structure before you start purchasing.From reading your above posts, I would see the U.S.A.

Heck, I live about 2 miles from the core of downtown Orlando and there are unincorporated neighborhoods bordering mine.

Uganda, but I've lived overseas for almost 15 years and even my 100% legit money cannot just simply wired across borders.

As a result, the smart REI investors are looking for B-minus or C-on-the-borders-of-B areas.Fountain Square is the neighborhood where a lot of REI's [including ME] are trying to find properties - thanks in large part to HGTV's "Good Bones". 

It's not too much of a stretch to think this will increase the demand for housing just south of the border.
