Despite what is being taught at these seminars, a real estate license is required to engage in these activities.The seminar instructors advise attendees that they can place a property in contract or an option to purchase, at which time the attendee can then market and re-sell the property for a profit.

Finding experienced local investors to glean knowledge from was the key for me really turning from a seminar attendee to an investor.

So I was just at a real-estate conference where an attendee told me that on all his lease-options, he has the tenant-buyer responsible for the maintenance on the property.

This is fine as I am not afraid of a house that needs major work.Here are some of the questions that I have thought about and am sure there are several others I don't know to ask.As a first time auction attendee, what words of advice/caution do you have? 

You don’t even have to attend some conferences, some will publish a list of their speakers and/or attendees and you could simply reach out directly after researching their firms online. 

Highly recommend you go there and get to know them and their attendees.
