@Adedayo Adetunji people that break into a property & occupy it are called "squatters".On September 24, 2014, three new Michigan Statutes went into effect to make squatting a crime and give landlords more options to remove them (see Michigan HB 5069/PA223, HB 5070/PA224, HB 5071/PA225).

I suspect part of the reason might be because I have a no-alcohol policy for my property, which I understand might draw a lot of people away to some extent.

Eric,, I think why people go for the fund model is the idea that they are spreading their money into multiple notes being held by the company.. while in theory this is great but as you noted you don't really have any security compared to being the beneficiary of the debt instrument IE debt is in your name. 

I would like to know if there are other like minded people that would like to meet up and discuss potential partnerships.

I have seen out of state people come in and think they are getting a whopper of a deal. 

Although some people will yell that 'this is mean, of those poor people' it has to be done like this.

I think we will see more "adult" families living together...kids move back in or parents move in with kids.The traditional apartment model was based on 12month leases, but jobs are not always 12 months and people want flexible terms, so co-living often offers that.Seems like younger people between 20-30 and some other age groups don't want to get married and start that housing pathway our parents and grandparents took.   

I think because I've been learning about it so much and talking to so many people, I'm in a state of analysis paralysis and I just need to pick a good deal and go with it with the team that I form.
